We've moved!

Just a short podcast/blog to tell you that we've moved! I went to an Educational Technology conference the first week in October and I discovered that many schools block Blogger! After finding that out, I decided to change the home of my podcast and blog. This feed will no longer be updated, so please subscribe to the new feed by going to www.readingwithmsbyrd.com

Happy April!

April is such a busy month! In April, we celebrate National School Library Media Month, National Poetry Month, and TV Turn Off week!

In this podcast, you'll hear about great books about reading and libraries. You'll find out about the Scott/McGill Writing Award and TV Turn off Week contest, and learn new ways to pick out books from our school's Literacy Coach, Erika Cartledge.

Hope you enjoy the April Bookin' It! We'll be back in May with a summer reading edition of our podcast.

Happy reading (and listening)!

Podcast 2

Mrs. Roebuck's 4th graders are finishing up Revolutionary War projects. Students could choose to create an ABC book, perform in a play, write a debate, or create a newspaper. The students did a wonderful job on their play, which was an interview with Thomas Jefferson. Here it is for you as a podcast! Enjoy!
